About Suraiya
As Chief Customer Officer, Suraiya is accountable for the development of Suncorp New Zealand’s customer strategy, delivery of sales and service for the Vero insurance brand, corporate reputation, sustainability, and communications.
Suraiya is a passionate brand storyteller, customer advocate and strategic thinker. She’s also an experienced international leader, who builds high performing teams and develops people to meet customer and business outcomes.
Prior to joining Suncorp in February 2024, Suraiya was Chief Marketing Officer at Westpac New Zealand, and prior to that she held leaderships roles at Vodafone in NZ, UK and Group, and SONY EMEA. With global and local experience, working for some of the world’s largest brands across multiple categories including Technology, Telecommunications and Financial Services, she thrives in complex environments helping to find solutions to business problems.
