How important is business growth?

Over one-third of New Zealand businesses told us they have no ambition for growth, and 58% said they would rather focus on productivity and efficiency than growth.

Shoe designer Kathryn Wilson said her brand is all about ‘best – not most’, with her dream of making exclusive, limited edition footwear now a reality.  

My Food Bag’s Cecilia Robinson said that innovation can never be sacrificed at the expense of growth, and that meeting the customer need is paramount in everything they do.

We asked our panel what they think about the importance of people and funding for business success.
